Florida Vacation - Day 2

Today started with a golf-cart ride with Grandpa (is there a better way to start the day??) Later we went to Nakomis Beach in Venice. At first it wasn't much of a beach day, but the weather quickly improved and Owen had a terrific time running and playing in the surf! He kept getting knocked down by waves, but didn't mind in the least! After the beach we went for hot dogs on the jetty, and Owen was "out cold" (one of his favorite expressions) by the time we got home. This evening we made a trip to Target (more specifically, to the "Nascar" section), where he talked Grandma and Grandpa into purchasing yet another racecar for his collection. A quick stop at the library on the way home (for some Nascar books), and now he's down at the putting green with his grandparents. I have a feeling he'll sleep well tonight!
