Owen and I arrived in Florida today (Dad and Ellie stayed behind this time, and will be making a trip to see Nanny and Poppa tomorrow). Owen had a GREAT time on the airplane. I think he was amusing the other passengers with his commentary, but don't all parents think their children are amusing on planes..? Anyway, we stopped in Sarasota for lunch on the way home at a tiki bar right on the water. Really nice! The best part was the playground and sprinkler park that were right next door - Owen had a blast running around! Much needed exercise after a long journey. Tonight we went to Sharky's for dinner (and key lime pie for dessert, but it wasn't the same without you, Mike!) It was "kids night" and they had a beach run that Owen participated in. He did great, and earned himself a purple ribbon and a popsicle!

Florida Vacation - Day 1
