Future Diva?

Pretty low-key weekend around here... we're all still recovering from a very persistent summer cold. We wound up checking out a farm in Lancaster this afternoon - it was Family Day (corny, yes, but it did include a bouncy house). We couldn't help but notice that all the other kids left the bouncy house shortly after ours entered; was it due to Owen's kamikaze style? (He's no stranger to the bouncy house). There was also a hayride, which Ellie got bored with JUST as it was finishing (phew!) and face painting (unnecessary after a couple of ice cream cones!).

I've noticed Ellie taking a greater interest in her accessories lately. It's very funny to watch. The other day she wore her blue rain boots to Karen's, and she's been carrying one of my old purses around with her. We were getting ready to leave the house recently and she apparently decided that her footwear was insufficient, so she stopped at the door and said, "NO, sandals!" and then "HAIR!" (meaning she wanted her hair in an elastic). Oh my... what have I done?!
